SeatLock is a pre-booking demand platform for live events. Artists, managers, promoters, venues, and other event organizers ("Campaign Creators") create campaigns inviting fans to place refundable deposits for cities where they would like to see a show.
SeatLock aggregates deposit data to provide money-backed demand insights.
SeatLock:
If a city is selected for a show, SeatLock may facilitate communication between depositors and the Campaign Creator regarding presale access or ticket credit, as described in the campaign.
All event fulfillment is the responsibility of the Campaign Creator.
Campaign Creators must create an account to run campaigns. You are responsible for:
Fans may place deposits without creating a full account by providing an email and completing payment. When placing a deposit, fans provide contact information (name, email, phone, ZIP code) used to process payments, communicate about the deposit, and share with the Campaign Creator when a city is selected. Fans may also opt in to communications from SeatLock or specific Campaign Creators. See our Privacy Policy for a full description of data collected and how it is used.
By placing a deposit, you agree to these Terms and the specific rules disclosed in the applicable campaign.
Refundable Deposits
Deposits placed through SeatLock are not tickets and do not guarantee admission to any event. Deposits are refundable in the circumstances described below.
How Deposits Are Held
Fan deposits are held by our payments partner (currently Stripe, Inc.) or its banking partners — not in SeatLock’s corporate operating accounts. SeatLock does not have authority to move fan deposits into its own accounts except as a platform fee payable only upon confirmed Release. SeatLock does not earn interest on deposits. For full details, see the Deposit Agreement.
Automatic Refunds
If a campaign’s deposit window closes without the show being confirmed, all fans are refunded automatically — no action by the fan or artist is required. This automated refund process runs daily. Refunds generally appear on the original card within 5–10 business days. SeatLock retains no platform fee on refunded deposits.
If a city is selected and the show subsequently confirmed:
SeatLock does not guarantee ticket availability, pricing, or presale allocation.
Fees
The total charged to your card (deposit plus platform contribution plus Stripe processing fee) is shown before payment confirmation. On a Refund, the Stripe card processing fee is non-refundable by the card networks. All other amounts — including SeatLock’s platform fee — are returned to you in full on a Refund.
Payment Processing
Payments are processed by Stripe. By placing a deposit, you agree to Stripe’s terms. SeatLock does not store full card numbers or CVV data.
No Guarantee of Event Execution
Even if a city is selected, an event may be canceled, postponed, or modified. SeatLock is not responsible for event cancellation, venue issues, ticketing disputes, or fulfillment errors by the artist or promoter. A show cancellation after deposit Release triggers a refund per the artist’s campaign terms.
